Eligibility for Services:
Any person who has been affected by sexual assault/abuse whether recently or in the past is eligible for free and confidential services. Families and friends as well as community members are also eligible for services.
Confidentiality and Release of Information:
All information about you and your case will remain confidential. Before we can communicate information about your case to others, you (or if you are under 13 or a dependent adult, a parent/guardian) must sign a Release of Information form, which is valid for 60 days. Per RCW 5.60.060, a rape crisis advocate may not disclose information about your case to a court without your consent.
Mandatory Reporting:
Exceptions to confidentiality occur when: we have reason to suspect a child or vulnerable adult is abused or neglected (RCW 26.44.030); there is a threat to harm yourself or others; or a court of appropriate jurisdiction subpoenas your case record. Beyond Survival documents any mandated reports.
Non Discrimination:
Beyond Survival provides services, regardless of race, color, national origin, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, age, religion, social/economic status, marital status, pregnancy, veteran status, disability or any other basis prohibited by federal, state or local law.
